Kurt Vonnegut died a couple of months ago. It was probably his time, but nontheless, the news hit me hard. There went the man who inspired me to take up the pen again. When I picked up "Slaughterhouse Five" about a year ago, it really changed my life. I know that sounds so goddamn cliche but it's the truth. What struck me about it was his outlook on life, how he could take a horrific situation and just laugh at it. It's a very human reaction and it's something no one will admit to doing. I mean Jesus, the things we do to other human beings, it's just funny. That's all. I guess it struck me...
