Usually when you over analyze something you end up ruining it by sucking the fun out of it. That is what happened with The Hulk movie that was released in 2003. Director Ang Lee wanted to make a moody and dark superhero from the Hulk's story and did this by focusing on the tortured Bruce Banner who becomes the Hulk. But by focusing on the tortured Banner, Lee also managed to torture the audience. His approach with Banner's story was very heavy handed and took up a large part of the movie.
