I'm a full-time computer technician now into my second decade of experience, as well as a husband and dad.

Why am I on Helium? Well, I enjoy writing and blogging, and I've got a lot of information to share. I also like to think that I'm good at presenting technical things in an unimposing way.

I also enjoy the thrill of debate on here, and really enjoy the opportunity to weigh in on a topic with other people that are passionate about it. I may tend towards sarcasm, at times, but there's no malice in me. If you ever smell sarcasm in my writing, it's written with a chuckle, never a scowl!

My days are spent explaining to people what the little things with the brown stuff are on their computer parts, so I've gotten quite a bit of practice over the years. My typical customer is anything but technical. I've come to understand that when some has a problem with their modem, 9 times out of 10 they mean their actual computer tower.

I've also learned that a lot of people think of their computer as a drink holder, sparring dummy, ashtray, and a notepad! Oh, the many uses of the computer!

I like to know that people are getting accurate information, so by posting on here I can add my perspective to articles and help readers make heads or tails of things.
