About me

So I'm basically a freelance writer and as you can see my pen name is Maxwell Payne, which some of you may see as a play on a name of a popular video game character, but I assure you that it was chosen for reasons which may never be known. I write a variety of articles and on a variety of topics, pretty much anything you can think of I've written about.

My true passion in writing lies in writing controversial content that informs one, gets one thinking, and hopefully challenges one to think outside the box.

I enjoy a lot of the simple pleasures in life. I also love music. I tend to get very excited about the most random things and always enjoy interjecting my two cents into discussions, debates, and conversations when I feel I have something valuable to contribute.

I don't like to define myself by any single job description or social circle, because I feel like I am always evolving, growing and changing. I enjoy life even through the ups and downs and always am finding new things to add to my list of hobbies and interests.

While I really do get into some topics, I still try to never take life too seriously, a usually find humor in pretty much anything; its important to be able to step back, take a deep breath and put things into perspective.

A lot of people believe that writing is dead but I believe that writing is alive and well and that words are power...

All of them are written and meant to be given in good fun; most revolve around comical themes as they relate to daily experiences of getting older. The best humor tends to come from some of the hard truths in life, such as getting older and dealing with all that comes with getting older.

All that said, it is important to still consider the person that you are giving the card to. Some people tend to see something like a birthday card that pokes fun at their age as an insult...
