Hi there. I'm Pat Lunsford, Climate Change Steward. Writing has always been one of my passions and getting published was only a distant dream. However, Helium has turned my dream into reality. When the magazine arrived with my first published article, you would have thought I had won the lottery! Of course, getting published for the first time is no small achievement.

Before joining Helium, my writing interests leaned towards novels and short stories. Recently I have developed an interest in Christian-related subjects, particularly the End Times that Jesus talked about in the 24th chapter of Matthew.

Through Helium, I have sold a variety of articles and was even contacted by a publisher who was interested in my short stories. Lately, Climate Change has been of special interest to me and I have spent several hours researching and writing about it.

Is global warming as bad as it's made out to be? I have been following both sides of this issue for some time and to be perfectly honest, there is compelling evidence on both sides. However, anytime we are faced with something as important as global warming, we should find a middle ground. There is too much evidence to completely deny it, yet there is also ample evidence to suggest that it is not as serious as some would have you believe.

As of March 28, 2008, another massive sheet of ice, which wasn't predicted to collapse for another fifteen years, broke away and plunged into the ocean...
