A hearse and the morgue? No wonder I'm warped!

It has taken me some time to decide exactly what I wanted to say about myself. I'm quick to relate what has happened in my life but I rarely speak of what I'm about. I only give a small hint of myself, such as the quote above.
I don't have great credentials to awe people with and the most dramatic things that happened in my life occurred before memory, with the exception of my quote and there are only snippets of that, with the stories I am told of the time.
Is what I am in my education or is it something deeper? Why should I be impressed by what a writer has learned if their writing has no voice?

I'm always looking for out of the ordinary recipes for my collection and strawberry pretzel dessert fits right in with its unusual, but delightful mixture of salt and sweet.
The sweet taste of strawberries goes perfectly with the salt of pretzels to make an amazingly delicious combination.

* 1 cup pretzel sticks, crushed
* 1/3 cup melted butter
* 1/2 cup sugar
* 8 ounces soft cream cheese
* 12 ounce carton whipping cream topping
* 1/2 cup powdered sugar
* 3 ounce package strawberry jello
* 1/4 cup boiling water
