Judy is a wife, mother, grandmother - a woman of many interests, yet sometimes doesn't find herself interesting. Her family is a priority for her. She loves animals (especially dogs, cats, and giraffes). Cooking is more than a household activity for her. She is always creating new dishes, especially with a slant to make them healthy. Kauai is a favorite trip for her and her family and people are always fascinating to her. Although she can be shy, she really enjoys meeting new folks. Reading and writing have always been an important part of her life.
In 1998, Judy found her perfect job, technical writing. She loves the challenge of taking a difficult concept and simplifying it. The economy took care of plan A in 2001 so plan B came into play for about six years. Now she is a freelance writer again and loving it. Judy continues to write technical documents. She has branched out to web content, copy-writing, and media kits.
College is still a work in progress. Judy has completed certifications in Professional Technical Writing, XML Authoring, Internet Marketing, and Writing for the Internet, Screen Design, Professional Business Writing, and Dreamweaver for Web Design. Additionally, there are several creative and professional writing classes on her resume. She also completed a Web Business Certification program with an emphasis on content. Judy is also the Co-Managing Editor of an soon to be Twin Cities chapter of the Writing Mamas Salon. She is looking forward to sharing her passion for writing with other moms, grandmas, aunts, even dads.

When did I became so interested in the art of fine cuisine?
As a teenager, part of my daily afternoon was to pick up my sister and brothers from school, get homework started, keep track of them, and be sure dinner was started for a 6:00 dinner time. Now, I didn't prepare elegant dinners at that tender age...things like meatloaf, mac and cheese (not from a box), chili, spaghetti, and the dreaded fish sticks. That alone should have kept me from ever wanting to step foot in a kitchen again!
The next step in the recipe was out into the world on my own. I didn't have much...
