About me - Magnolia Miller

About me

I'm a late blooming mom of three. I didn't marry or have my children until I was in my mid-thirties. I had my last child at 43 and I am now in my early fifties.

The is the best time of life for me. I had always heard that the fifties were the golden years. I would tend to agree so far. Middle age is proving to be a great time of self-acceptance, rediscovery and a pursuit of passions that have lay dormant in my soul and heart for many, many years.

I have always longed to be an artist, dancer, writer, musician or to do anything where I could express myself. Though I'm too old to be a professional dancer, it hasn't stopped me from loving the art form and kicking up my heels quite regularly. I do not pursue art so much anymore, but I have taken up music lessons for the last 8 years.

Writing has been the next step that I've taken into the things I love and I'm delighted to have found a medium such as Helium where I can hone and sharpen my skills.

I couldn't be more happy with life right now. I have a blog that focuses on women's issues over 50 if you would like to visit me there sometime.
