I am a student at the University of East Anglia, studying English Literature. I have been on the stage both dramatically and musically since I was 8 years old, and writing has been something that I have done for myself.
Writing helps me understand myself and the world around me. Coming from a background of Autism, I have always found this hard to do. Poetry in particular, enables me to pick out the beauty and nuances of my surroundings that would be otherwise invisible to me. Being able to come back to a poem or a song that I've previously written and discover something new about it is what I enjoy most.
My inspiration comes largely from my experiences. Especially in music, I prefer the romantics - there is something about the grace and flow of romanticism that awakens my senses.
