The clock on the wall flashes 4 AM and we're still awake
We can't even remember who made this latest mistake
Is it just me or is something irrevocably broken
It may be wiser for us to say our final goodbyes
But deep down inside of me I hope to see the sun rise
Is it too late, the past can not be undone

Cause maybe all that I am feeling is just wishful
But somehow I know what we have is special
We've been together since I was a girl
It's all I can do to just breathe
Life is not what I had planned
Please take my hand
