My name is Amy. Writing is a passion of mine. I have been writing since I was a little girl, reading for much longer. I am not often without a book in my hands. Over the years, I have written on and off, rarely allowing people to see my work. Only recently have I decided to try my hand at it again.
I have sold an article through Helium, and I have been happy to start writing again. I do not have a lot of time to write articles, but I do what I can.
A have a little knowledge on a lot of things, a lot of knowledge on a few things, and have spent years at university learning to research those things that I know nothing about. I have a Master of Laws and a Graduate Diploma of Legal Practice, Skills and Ethics. I am eligible for admission to practice as a lawyer, but decided late in my degree that being a lawyer was not for me.
I currently work for the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission as an investigator, as well as doing an editing and proofreading course by correspondence full time as well. Somehow, I also find the time to look after our house, do some writing, spend time with my husband, and take the dogs to the dog park.
My husband is in the Australian army, and we are currently posted to Townsville, North Queensland. We have two dogs - Toby (a maltese/shi tzu cross) and Fred (a staffy/ridgeback cross) who I love very much. Fred is in the process of being obedience trained at the moment, and I am planning on getting him into agility training as well.

If you are looking for a large dog that constantly wants to climb on your lap, one that eats you out of house and home, that people walk to the other side of the street to avoid and that can be extremely excitable, the Rhodesian Ridgeback is for you! They are delightful dogs who love nothing better than curling up on your lap for a cuddle (they obviously don't know how big they are!) and sneaking food from the countertops. A family oriented dog, they are also great watch dogs and are very intelligent.
