About me - Veronica Shine

aboutme

Being a native New Yorker, my window was a kaleidoscope of color to a city that had an amazing mixture. If I wanted to go to Asia, I could just hop a subway to Flushing; Astoria was Greece; Brighten Beach became Russia and Poland was Greenpoint.

The city is a vibrant exciting place and opportunity to experience so many different cultures and have a variety of people from all over the world, which in turn gave me my lust for travel, people and what makes the world tick.

My career has been just as diversified as New York; consisting of the fashion/beauty/accessory/theatrical industries. I consider myself a citizen of the world as I now hang my hat mainly in Europe with my husband and 14 year old son.

Perhaps from being in the theater since a child, a natural transition to write emerged. Writing articles began in college and after wards, copy writing for my employers. My published works have appeared in ezines and magazines in Europe and the United States with a focus towards beauty, fashion and travel.

Recent published works have appeared in:
The European, eHow, Think Fashion, International Living, FEBZ Magazine, Vezeo, Sentimental Magazine, The Diva Network, Venere Italia, Bearings, Girlfriend to Girlfriend.

Contributed to a new book by LaChance Publishers on Autism releases in December 2008

Commissioned by Atlantic Publishing for a new book on How to Design and Build a Green Office Building: A Complete Guide to Making Your New or Existing Building Environmentally Healthy. Releases Fall 2008.

Recently accepted by CD Virtual Services as a member of their freelance team writing regularly.

Arts & Humanities > American Literature Dreams leading to denial in Death of a Salesman, by Arthur Miller
2 of 2

Playwright, Arthur Miller's insightful plays about the realities of life with the traumas and displaced dreams of the ordinary middle class people, prove even more so in "Death of a Salesman."

Forced up against the wall in a world that was radically changing after World War II, the lead character, Willy Loman, is bent upon self-destruction. Willie's dreams are based on his own individual interpretation of what's good which he believes is popularity, financial gains and success or the so called "American Dream". He has not learned to become flexible with his apparent changing situations
