PERSONAL
My name is Dina, I am 30yrs old and from South Jersey. I am the Site Steward for the Food and Drink/Other Subchannel. If you have any ideas or suggestions on how we can improve the channel, feel free to contact me through the contact this writer button.

I have three children; one son, age 6 and toddler twin daughters.

I am from Lancaster County PA, and although I currently reside in Southern Jersey, I still refer to Pennsylvania as home.

EDUCATION
I am currently a junior at Drexel University in Philadelphia PA and am currently finishing my degree in Business. I hope to continue on to obtain my Masters Degree and possibly teach college students in the future.

BACKGROUND
I love to write, and have been eager to find an opportunity to polish my skills. I have always had a way with words, ever since my dad handed me a pencil at the age of 2 and taught me how to write my name. I never stopped and throughout my childhood was a part of gifted and talented programs, especially in Language Arts. In high school, I was an Honors English student for four years. I also participated in many Creative Writing classes and Poetry Clubs.

I also love to blog and I have caught on to the internet trend of blogging. I spend my spare time contributing to my own blogs or reading other blogs. I blog for a few internet blogging sites as well, where I will type up ads or product reviews and place them on my own blog(s).

I experimented a bit with "newswriting" for a television station here in Philadelphia. It was interesting and a learning experience, but not my "thing."

HELIUM
I am a Helium Channel Champions Contest Winner. I have placed first, second and third in different contests. I have also won first place in the BostonNow College Writing Contest in April 2008.

ARTICLES SOLD
I have sold an article to epersonalfinance and I hope to sell many more. That first publication is only my stepping stone.

Why I write ...

I write because my husband won't listen to me talk. So I need to release the words somewhere.

What I am reading/watching/listening to ...

I am a news junkie so I am always reading the newspaper, watching the news or listening to news radio.

My first job ...

was selling shoes at the mall. I was horrible at it however my boss liked how well I interacted with people so he did not fire me.

My best moment ...

was the day my children were born. I always wonder how I muddled through life before them. They are my world.
