Hello Helium Fans and writers,

I have been writing for most of my life for the pure pleasure and challenge it offers me. Most of my professional writing has been related to health Care.
My specialty is Oncology Nursing. I continue to be active in the Medical Reserve Core.

I decided it was time to gently close the door to the acute care area. To give myself the much needed time to take a deep breath and "smell the roses." Also the opportunity to look for new doors to open. Maybe to even find a new challenge.

This time of my life has been filled with many opportunities to have a rhythm of my own. We can pack up and travel about at whim. Life includes my fiancee, between us we have 6 children and their spouses and 11 1/2 grandchildren. As well Sasha my 9 lb yorkie.

I believe that writing has been a calling that has followed me closely most of my life. It is a personal drive that can haunt me until I write down my words. Even the dictionary is one of my favorite books. I collected favorite writings through most of my early years. When reading, beautifully written words will travel with me for days. Now I am honing in on my writing skills, it has became one of my ever present challenges.

It is people as well as the world around me that always inspires me to write. As well, those things that touch my heart and soul. Sometimes it is those people and those things that are not seen by others, or are too easy to turn our back on.

I am a contributing author for- Chicken Soup for the Nurses Soul-Second Dose. I write on other websites. But Helium is my home. Feel free to drop by for a visit. I would love to meet you.

We seem to go from pumpkins to Christmas Trees before we have even celebrated Thanksgiving. After we have over indulged in the abundance on our platters and have feasted on too much pie. Except for a brief grace, will we even be truly thankful ?

There will be early risers on the Friday after Thanksgiving they will hurriedly make their way to our shopping malls. Their goal is to shop for the best on sale. This day is called "Black Friday."

We the most fortunate among us, have taken so much for granted. We succumb to the pleasure of over abundance. Some of us are as well...
