The Scott family recently moved from Zambia to the gentle rolling hills of the Sussex Downs. We are now in Eastbourne, trying to make a living from a small computer shop that we bought and which is being ably run by my more than competent First Born Son, a computer boffin of note! I am now getting into the unknown territory of Ebay selling and Web page design. Hopefully the business will expand as we all learn more about it. Please free to pop into our website (link supplied on the right!) anytime and give me some feedback - better still, buy something - lol
I still try to write as much as possible but find the English countryside less inspiring to humouress discourse than my previous home in the often frustrating but always funny country of Zambia. I miss the good natured friendliness of the people and their ability to see humour in nearly every situation.
I still try to update my Coffee Anyone? blog as often as possible but confess to having rather ignored the other two these past few months. So much of my time is taken up these days with learning how to run a computer shop!
The future? I have no idea at this stage - maybe I'll write about it when I do? :)
My life philosophy? Ventis secundis, tene cursum. :)
My passion is ...
animals, especially little furry dogs!
I know too much about ...
everything (or so my husband tells me!) except Ebay! grrrr!
My parents always told me ...
to never loose the inner child
My childhood ambition ...
to be a top show jumper (or maybe an opera singer!)
My favorite memory ...
my daughter riding at the dressage finals in Germany
Why I write ...
because I love it and it's fun
What I am reading/watching/listening to ...
Web Design for Dummies :(
My first job ...
in a bank
My best moment ...
My daughter winning the FEI dressage and qualifying to go to Germany to ride the Finals
My inspiration ...
my family and friends

Be Still my Beating Heart!
Darkness slowly creeping,
lost souls in the night.
While the world lies sleeping,
wishing to be quiet.
That little sound,
much louder in the dark!
A baying hound!
Hunting in the park?
Be still my jangling nerves
and quiet my beating heart.
Imagination only serves
to give my mind a start.
A tapping on the window.
Wind shrieking in the night.
The morning comes too slow!
Just wishing to be quiet.
