Payments and payment policy
It’s time to talk money. And when you get it.
You may request payment once your account has accumulated $25.
Once you hit the $25 mark, you must request payment on or before 23:59 GMT on the last day of the month to be paid in the next month. Helium pays into PayPal accounts by the end of the 10th day of the following month.
If you have not already done so, you will also need to fill out the required contact information on your “Account Settings” page when you request a payment for the first time.
We are also researching the possibility of offering payment by check. However, this feature might require a larger minimum payout amount because of the logistical expenses of supporting a check payment process. This option is unavailable at this time.
Setting up your PayPal account
Helium uses PayPal because it’s quick and easy, as well as the largest and most-trusted web-based payment system. We are considering alternative electronic payment systems to PayPal, especially for our international members who don’t have access to PayPal.
There are two possibilities regarding setting up a PayPal account at Helium. You can set up your own account or have help from Helium.
There are two ways to set up a PayPal account.
Do-it-yourself:
- Go to PayPal and create an account for yourself there.
- Return to Helium.com. Click on “My Helium” in the red horizontal navigation bar. From there, navigate to “Account Settings” in the left-hand navigation.
- Next, click on the “Payment Options” tab.
- Add your PayPal account information.
- Consider things taken care of.
Have Helium help:
- Click on “My Helium” in the red horizontal navigation bar. From there, navigate to “Account Settings” in the left-hand navigation.
- Next, click on the “Payment Options” tab.
- Enter a username and the email address you want associated with your new PayPal account. When you request your first payment from Helium, PayPal will invite you to open an account.
