Security Settings page
This page is for important stuff, such as managing your password and security hint.
How to change your password:
- Type the answer to your security hint in the field provided and click “Submit.”
- Enter your new password in each of the fields provided and click “Submit.”
- A page will show up saying, “We have now sent you an email with a temporary password for the site. Once you have logged in with the temporary password, you will be asked to create a new password. If you have not received the email within five minutes, please check your spam folder and/or check with your email provider.”
- Follow those directions and you’re back on your way to writing at Helium.
How to change your security hint:
- Type the answer to your original security hint (established when you first joined) in the field provided and click “Submit.”
- Type your new security hint in the first field, then your new security hint answer in the second field, then click “Submit.”
- A success message appears: “You have successfully updated your security hint.” You can continue to use Helium with renewed security and confidence.
