My Invites page

The My Invites page is your handy place to manage invitations to join Helium that you’ve sent to friends, family or colleagues. When you invite writers to join Helium, you enjoy a bonus that is based on 5% of the article earnings from those who accepted your invite.

Here’s where you keep track of your invitations:

  • Pending invites: How many invitations you’ve sent that have not been accepted within a two-week period of the last invite sent.
  • Accepted invites: How many smart people took your advice and joined Helium.
  • Expired invites: How many invitations have expired since you sent them. Invitations are active for two weeks. You are welcome to invite the same writer again and hope she comes to her senses.
  • Total invites: The total number of invites that you have sent, whether invitees have been accepted or not.

The table at the bottom gives more details about your invites. Clicking the top of each column header will sort the fields alphabetically; clicking again will invert your sort.

Note: You are allowed three invitations per email address. After the original invite is sent, the number of resends available will be indicated next to the resend button. Once an invite is sent, the status will remain in a pending state for up to two weeks. If the invited person hasn’t accepted, the invitation status will go into an expired state.

Rules:

  • If the invited writer joins using the link within the Helium invite email or on his own while the invite is in any status, you will get credit for the invite. (If an invited person joins on her own, the credit goes to the oldest pending invite if more than one Helium writer invites the same person.)
  • An inviter may have no more than 50 pending invites at any given time.
  • You cannot invite someone who already has a Helium account.
  • Earnings from invites are viewable on the Earnings & Payments page in the Total Invite Earnings column.
  • An invitation email link does not expire. The inviter will get credit when it is used unless the invited accepted an invitation from another Helium member.
  • Inviting a writer from an article page will have the copy and title of the article in the invite and will direct the invited to the article upon registration.
