Communicating with Helium

When contacting help@Helium.com or content@Helium.com, please be specific about your request or problem. More often than not, if you’re contacting us, there’s an issue with your account. In the heat of the moment it’s easy to write things like: “What is going on with my account!!!! ARGH!” Unfortunately, messages like this result in one or more extra emails back and forth before the issue is resolved.

To help us better serve you. Please consider the following before sending us an email.

Contacting Help or Content checklist:

  1. Send all correspondence from the email address we have on file for your Helium account. We use your email address to confirm your identity, which is a security measure put in place for your protection.
  2. Give the date and time that the issue happened. (Example: On Sunday, September 2, at approximately 4:21 Western time.)
  3. Provide details about exactly what you were doing on the site, what page you were on, what happened when the occurrence took place, etc. (Example: I was on my “About Me” page updating my photo when little green men began to devour my new updated photo.)
  4. Whenever possible (and if you know how), take a screen shot of the page you are on when the event occurred and attach that with your concern.
  5. If necessary, include a URL from the page you are experiencing issues on. (A URL is the web address from your browser typically beginning with http:// and found at the very top of your browser window.)
  6. For Content email, please include the URL of the article you are writing about. If you are writing to us about a declined article, you must forward that declined letter, which has the article included with it, so we can figure out what went wrong.

To get in touch with the staff at Helium, you can contact:

  • Help Desk: The Help Desk is your customer service tool. If you’re having account problems, payment complications or other technical quandaries, shoot an email to help@helium.com.

Additional reasons to write Help include submission problems, incorrect display issues or inappropriate user behavior. Help, however, is not the place to report abuses in articles. We have a great flagging feature for that. Please use it.

All in all, have faith in getting your questions answered quickly — our Help Desk has insomnia. (We’re workaholics, too.)

  • Content & Community Team: Should you have questions or problems directly related to what’s written on the site or in Helium articles, contact the Content & Community team at content@helium.com. (Feel free to send us love letters, too.)
  • Sign up for Helium newsletters: Stay plugged into what’s happening at Helium with our general-interest and channel-specific newsletters. Get in the know. Subscribe today.
