When it comes to luxury home upgrades, the earth-friendly concept, not money, is what is on the ecological awareness minded generation. This generation is made up of all ages, nationalities, and a mixture of religious beliefs. This group of people is willing to do what it takes to save the earth and all of her natural glory. Luxury home improvement projects are ranging from geo-thermal heating and cooling systems (solar) which are hidden underground, choosing to use chemical free building materials, and using materials that are recycled and renewable. Windows and doors are being replaced with energy efficient doors and windows. Toxic insulation is being replaced with chemical free non-toxic insulation. Wood floors are being replaced by renewable cork or bamboo instead of using trees that threaten the survival of our rainforest.
Granite is no longer just for kitchens. You are now finding granite in bathrooms, around swimming pool bars, floors, showers, tubs, and outdoor grills. Luxury home improvement projects may include counter tops, sinks, showers, tubs, floors, outdoor kitchens, and bars may be replaced with glass, quartzite, schist and basalt which is volcanic rock.
Rooms that are the main focal point during a major upgrade, are the kitchen and master suite. The upgrades in the kitchen should include the top of the line appliances, counter tops, cabinets, and flooring. The design should be open, and have plenty of working space for your "private cooking team" to have room to prepare for large parties, and family functions. This project could easily cost $60,000 or more. The master suite walk-in closet should be a room all by itself and most luxury homes have separate his and her walk-in closets that are open and have plenty of drawers. The master bathrooms should have a separate shower, and tub. Whirlpools, spas, and Jacuzzis should also be included in your master bath projects.
Other luxury home improvement features are wine cellars, outdoor kitchens that include wine coolers, warming drawers, ovens, grills, and complete bars, radiant flooring (heated floors), complete home movie theaters, a computer system (smart home) that controls lights, heating, cooling, and alarm system.
When planning your luxury home improvement projects, remember "luxury" means top of the line.
