What wives want from husbands

All wives want essentially the same things from their husbands. Women want more than a home, car and children; they want someone to share their burdens, experiences, and feelings. The ideal mate is someone who will make her feel complete, take an interest in her thoughts and dreams, as well as supporting her in her daily endeavors. A wife looks to her significant other for fulfillment of her physical, social, mental, and emotional needs.

Wives want to feel physically connected to their husbands. Women want to feel loved and feel that they are beautiful. Through a husband's physical touch, a woman feels a rise in her confidence level and her self-image improves. The physical display of emotion soothes her when she is upset, shows support and can relay the feeling of love and desire. Holding hands, a smile, or a touch reassures her of your love, protection, and support. Without physical acceptance from a spouse, a marriage is nothing more than a platonic friendship.

Women want their husbands to interact with them socially. Wives want someone to take interest in their daily lives while offering opinions and support. No matter how trivial the subject is, women want to know that their thoughts and hard work matter. A wife wants to lavish her attention on her husband. She finds enjoyment in hearing her husband's views, tribulations, and daily activities. Wives look to their spouses for friendship. They want someone to go out with them and engage in activities with. Performing basic daily chores together, taking a weekend trip, or going for a night on the town give each other the chance to enjoy each other's company and have fun.

A wife looks to her significant other to pay attention to her emotional needs. She wants to feel loved, appreciated, needed, and accepted for who she is. A woman looks to her partner to cheer her up and make her laugh. Romance in a relationship makes her feel loved and cherished. Women also want their husbands to acknowledge the contribution they make to the household and the world around them. Praise and appreciation make a woman feel successful in her role as wife, nurturer, lover, and friend. Without this kind of attention, women begin to lose interest in their home and relationship. What is the point of trying if no one cares? Women also crave the same from their husbands. Knowing her husbands feelings, dreams, and aspirations, a wife is able to feel needed. It gives her the opportunity to demonstrate love and support for the person who matters most to her. In order to have a successful marriage, women need an emotionally inter-dependent relationship with their spouse.

Husbands must also satisfy the mental needs of their wives. Women depend on their mates to help them solve problems, deal with stressful situations, and for conversation. If both share the burden of everyday life, problems and situations appear smaller and easier to deal with. Often times, the couple will discover a different perspective or a solution simply by talking things through. Discussion and conversation keep unhappiness at bay, build confidence in the relationship, and bring the couple closer together. It is comforting for a wife to know that someone is there to help her through the tough times and take an interest in her thoughts and opinions.

A wife looks to her husband for the things she cannot obtain herself. Attention, love, support, and the feeling of belonging are all necessities of a successful life and marriage.
