Should people be allowed to smoke in public places?

by genzo

To me, though everyone has their rights, smoking in public places should be banned or limited to a minimal number of places.

Smokers who lit up everywhere are simply causing those around them to inhale their second smoke. Worse, there may be people who are asthmatic or kids who shouldn't be even subjected to this type of treatment. Just think of the consequences to these kids and people having respiratory problems. They may just suffer an asthmatic attack due to the second hand smoke.

Therefore, I say that the government should start putting in place policies to ban smoking in public places. Take for example Hong Kong and Singapore, the governments there are alredy enforcing non-smoking in many punlic places and many people have feedback that now they can walk on the streets and eat in many places with ease and take comfort that no second hand smoke comes along into their face.

So, to conclude, I would say NO to smoke in public places.
