Here are two bark recipes that are easy and tasty you will make them often not only for yourself, but as gifts for others.
PEPPERMINT BARK
Either in a double broiler or the microwave, slowly belt your favorite brand of white chocolate.
Line a square or rectangular baking dish with wax paper. In a food processor grind up peppermint candy (canes or the round hard candy).
Once the white chocolate is melted mix in the ground peppermint candy and stir until evenly mixed throughout the chocolate.
Spread the chocolate mixture evenly on the wax paper until it's about a half an inch thick. Place the pan in the refrigerator for about an hour.
When it is hard, cover the bark with plastic wrap and take a rubber kitchen mallot and break the square and rectangle into shards of yummy goodness!
CRUNCHY PEANUTTY ALMOND BARK
Slowly melt almond bark in a double broiler or microwave.
Crush about a half a can of Pringles potato chips and mix it with about a cup or a cup and a half (depending on how much almond bark you're melting) of shelled peanuts. The peanuts can be crushed or used whole.
Once the almond bark is melted evenly distribute the chip/nut mixture throughout. Spread the mixture evenly in a wax-paper lined pan, chill, and once hard break into pieces to share. This treat almost has a Butterfinger-type flavor.
