About ICED

ICED: I can end deportation

ICED is a video game created and produced by international human rights organization, Breakthough.

ICED teaches teens about immigration laws and deportation. Its object is to become a citizen of the Unites States.

The Issue:

United States immigration laws are unfair, deny due process and violate human rights. These laws affect all immigrants: Legal residents, those fleeing persecution, students and undocumented people.

Unfair immigration laws ...

Deny due process and deport people without a hearing.

Tie judges' hands and prevent them from considering the circumstances of each individual case.

Impose extreme punishment for minor offenses.

Hold immigrants in detention indefinitely.

When we let the government deny due process and human rights for some people, we put all of our freedoms at risk.

About Breakthrough:

Breakthrough believes in human rights for everyone. For Breakthrough, human rights is not just an idea, but a way to practice fairness and justice in our everyday lives. Breakthrough takes a creative approach to human rights, using media, games, videos and music.

Breakthough works in both the Unites States and India on immigration, racial justice and women's rights.
