Global warming has been called more dangerous than terrorism, more sinister than famine. And since we are the cause, we are the solution. A cost is placed on those gross offenders, carbon dioxide, methane, hydroflorocarbons, among other chemicals business and industry pumps into the air. Wait! Doesn't every plant on earth need carbon dioxide to live? Don't bring that up.

As for methane, the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency has gone through the trouble to weigh the gasses emitted by Bossy. Livestock such as cattle, sheep, buffalo, and goats, are happily puffing out 80 million metric tons of methane annually, accounting for 28% of global emissions caused by human activities. Individual cows may not do much, but add up America's hundred million cattle and 1.2 billion livestock around the world, and we have a heap of gas. I guess it's a good thing all those buffaloes were shot on the way out West. Where would we be now if buffaloes were as plentiful as cattle?

Back to carbon credits for industries, which are in the family of terms with Personal Carbon Trading for individuals, and voluntary Carbon Offsets. All to lower your Carbon Footprint. It would take more space than I have to explain each of these precisely. Enough to say, in the name of reducing global warming, monies will be transferred from one pocket to another, preferably, but not necessarily, with the consent of that country's residents.

It occurred to me there is a whole other frontier yet to be explored, and it frightens me to bring it up, as some bright bulb will light up with anticipation. Breathing Credits. Yes, that's right, with every breath you take, another tax you pay.

The logic is already in place. We humans inhale good oxygen and exhale bad (as they define bad) carbon dioxide. So what if that's a normal and natural cycle for life on Earth? Don't think about it. Just count those human carbons right along right along with the sheep and the goats. Let's say America gets possessed by the global warming spirit and follows the world. Our most populated states would pay a penalty for having the most breathers, along with whatever industries haven't been shipped overseas. So much for growth.

Since fat people breath harder than skinny people (I speak from experience) more change will be thinned out of our wallets. Health clubs will become global warming revenue streams as exercisers huff and puff and add to the layers of carbon dioxide.
