Want some simple, all-natural facial masks that will rejuvenate your skin and make it naturally glow? Here are some easy recipes that you can make using household ingredients:
1. Oatmeal & Honey
1/3 cup of fast cook oatmeal (1-3 minutes)
1/4 cup of honey
1/2 cup of water
Mix the water and the oatmeal together, and cook. Then, set the oatmeal aside to cool and thicken. As it is cooling, mix in the 1/4 cup of honey. Once the mask is well mixed and cool, apply a thin even layer to the skin.
Try not to apply the oatmeal too close to the eyes, because it can cause irritation. You can try putting cold sliced cucumbers on your eyes, or warm teabags.
2. Milk of Magnesia
Rub some milk of magnesia on your skin, let it dry, then wash it off with warm water. Again, great for oily skin!
3. Mayonnaise & Essential Oil
Rub some mayonnaise onto your face, mixed with a few drops of essential oil. Again, avoid getting this near your eyes, because it could cause some irritation. You can put the cucumbers and/or teabags over your eyes again. Wash off the mayonnaise after about ten minutes. This is great for dry skin! If it's still dry, try rubbing virgin coconut oil onto your skin. This is oil that's unhydrogenated, so it's basically primarily unprocessed. Or, you can also use some olive oil if you can't find the virgin coconut oil. It's great as a natural moisturizer.
4. Honey
Warm up some honey, but don't make it too hot for your skin to touch. Then, wash your face thoroughly with warm water. Wipe it dry. Then, apply the honey onto your face. It will feel great, taste great, and you'll clean your pores naturally.
5. Salt with/out Oil
Salt is great for sucking out the juices from pimples and the like. Whenever I got an unexpected pimple, I rubbed some salt on it and in ten minutes, the pimple got smaller. Now, using this same concept, wash your face with warm water, and dry slightly. Then, put salt on your face. Rub gently, then leave on for ten minutes. Wash thoroughly, avoiding opening the eyes. To make the salt stick to the skin, you can use oil, but I'd suggest using bigger salt crystals like kosher salt.
6. Avocado with Egg Yolk
Yes, this might sound a bit disgusting, but avocado has been a longtime facial mask choice. The egg yolk is great for people with dry skin. What's the result? Naturally moisturized skin! Just mix them both together thoroughly, then apply to a face that's been washed with warm water and dried slightly.
Try one of these facials once a week, and see your face begin to develop a healthy glow!
