What a friend we have in Jesus

Jesus is the reason that all humanity has a chance to be a part of the family of God. There is no greater friend than one who will stand by you in any circumstance. He sees your faults and still loves you in spite of them. He also looks beyond your faults and sees your needs.

Jesus is love. He taught love. He saw good in everybody, even the vilest of sinners. He was no stranger to anyone. He healed people just by His power from within. A woman with an incredible faith, barely touched the hem of His garment, and power went out of Him and she was healed.

Jesus took the lunch of a small boy and raised it up to the Heavens. It was multiplied many times over. The crowd that was gathered around to hear Jesus, was fed by many loaves and fishes. God's increase led to one of many miracles that Jesus performed.

He loved all people and took a lot of criticism because He associated with the sinners. Jesus didn't come to save the saved, He came to save those that were lost. That's why He had to die. He had to take the sins of the whole world upon His back, and be covered with enough blood to cover the multitude of sins. There were many. Man owed the sin debt, Jesus paid the price.

To be saved, man had to make the choice. Jesus showed the love and taught what the Father wanted man to know. But because of mans choice, Jesus was tortured and crucified. He was put to death for the cause of love. This world didn't deserve to wash Jesus feet, let alone be saved by His shed blood.

I've wondered so many times, how many people regretted what they had done to Jesus. Especially when Jesus arose on the third day, and ascended unto the Father. What is so sad to me, is that Jesus came and died for us, yet sin is worse now than it was before. I guess it really doesn't matter because God said that the smallest of sins was as great as the greatest. Sin is sin. Unforgivable without repentance and redemption.

I'll take Jesus as my friend, and that's just who He is. What an incredible waste of your life if you choose to deny Him. You only have one life you know. When it's gone, you'll wish you had a friend in Jesus.

Isaiah 53:5-6 "But He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our iniquities; The chastisement for our peace was upon Him, And by His stripes we are healed. All we like sheep have gone astray; We have turned everyone, to his own way; And the Lord has laid on Him the iniquity of us all."

Jesus was punished for our sins. He was pure and Holy,
