Understanding the ethics behind bringing children to those unable to reproduce naturally

What are ethics? Ethics is the branch of philosophy that deals with evaluating human action. There are many standards used to measure and determine what may be considered ethical. I can be applied based on right or wrong by the use of reason, based on social customs, for from a morality stand point.

With this in mind let's examine the ethics of bringing children to those unable to reproduce naturally. Keep in mind this is not about an exact answer. It is about exploring the possible ethical answers.

Group number one ~

This group is empathetic to anyone who wants to have a child. They tend to believe it is a basic human right and science is just another method to help achieve this goal. They are enthusiastic in leaving no rock unturned for the possibility or someone enjoying the blessing of parenthood.

Group number two ~

This group believes that there is a Divine Creator who is responsible for all things related to the birth of children. If the Divine Creator wanted you to be able to have children it would happen without the interference of science. This group also believes that any science to prevent birth is unacceptable as well.

Group number three ~

The world is overpopulated as it is and seems to be getting worse. There are children who need homes and adoption can fill the need of creating a family unit. This group often explains the thought that couples should be limited to one child in a family.

Group number four ~

This is the group that is a lot like a good fruit salad. They believe a little bit of this and a little bit of that. They take pieces from all philosophies come up with a personal conglomeration. This group is call by some the "undecided" and yet they may just be more tempered.

So where do you stand? May I boldly suggest that it doesn't hurt to explore all the options with an open mind? For example, visit the earth clock posted on the Internet. It gives you a look at what is happening in the world right now. It didn't change my mind, but made me more aware and that is always a good thing.

If there is a Divine Creator, does that mean that scientific methods are part of the plan of the Creator?

Ethics are really not about changing minds, but looking from all sides and deciding what you view as best for the society as a whole. Take a moment and become enlightened.
