The importance of humor in relationships

Many a times we forget to just have fun in our lives hence it is important to realize that humor plays a very important role in relationships

When was the last time we laughed till we have a stitch in our stomach? If we have not have one good laughter for a long time, let us be aware that we need to laugh and have fun.

Often enough when we find ourselves in a sticky position we felt frustration and when the issue is over and when we think over it, more often we can laugh about the situation and why we reacted that way. Humor adds a fun element in our relationships when we incorporate it in our lives. When we can have humor in our lives, we are more relaxed and people tend to be off guard when they are with us and then we can establish a bond with each other. Humor can help us have good emotions about ourselves when it is all done in a witty and fun mode.

Humor can lighten a situation when it is tense or just make everyone happy and being in the moment. Benefits of having humor in relationships are many and when we can cultivate ourselves to bring humor into our everyday lives, we have make our moments and these moments are the ones we cherish and remember in times to come.

For a couple relationships, humor must not be at the expense of each person's weakness. It is based on looking at the lighter side of the issue and the couple is able to recognize the humor in it and be able to laugh about it. This adds the element of fun and love in the couple's relationship.

When there are kids in the family, it is important for the children and parents to have a light moment with each other and this bonds the child to the parent and it works both ways.
Children can often see the humor in situations where adults fail to recognize. When adults can let go of their stance of being right when there is a difference of opinion, often humor can help avoid arguments and even help the child and parent to see the situation in a different light.

Adults have a tendency to forget to have laughter in their lives as they want to project that they are mature. These adults are just robbing themselves of fun, enjoyment and bliss in their lives and that is their loss. Our lives are make up of happy and sad moments. When we can have more happy moments, we are truly blessed and we are more appreciative of what we have and therefore easily contented.

Recognize the importance of humor in relationships and cultivate more humor in our everyday lives and we are all richer just by having this awareness. Add laughter into our lives and we can truly live our lives and be happy.
