When speaking of outstanding NBA trios they must have multiple all-star appearances. They must have played in championships together and they must have hall of fame credentials. The first is obvious Magic Johnson,James Worthy, and Kareem Abdul-Jabbar of the Los Angeles Lakers. All three were voted one of the 50 tops players of all time. Magic is the top point guard of all time,second in career assist and the most revolutionary player of any era. James Worthy is arguably one of the top finishers on the fast break. Kareem is the all time leading scorer in the NBA. These Lakers won four championships together.

The second being Michael Jordan,Scottie Pippen, and Dennis Rodman of the Chicago Bulls. This is the only time in the history of the NBA that you have the three best defenders on one team. Jordan and Pippen were the best players in the game at various times, and also the most versatile. Rodman dominated the boards and played the best position defense. Guarding men as large as Shaquille O'Neal and as small as John Stockton. Their competitive nature's cut opponents like knives.The Bulls won three straight championships.

The third greatest trio has to be Larry Bird,Robert Parrish, and Kevin Mchale. All three were voted one of the 50 top players of all time. Bird is the greatest small forward of all time and one of the NBA's best clutch shooters. Parrish played over twenty years consistent and outstanding. Mchale was one of the first big guys to shoot three pointers. He was versatile and had the best post moves of any one to play.

These are the 3 greatest trios they all were dominate and they took excellence to another level. They all have multiple championships,all-star appearances, and hall of fame credentials.
