Things I don't understand about relationships is the fact that couples who are not happy do not have to strength and guts to just let it go. There are so many people who stay in relationships for years before they decide this is it. Throughout the years a person no that they are not happy but they continue to try to work things out. I think that relationships that are suffering from lack of commitment like marriage, bad communication amongst one another, abuse, compatibility, and the fact that they are not happy, need to just let it go. People needs to realize that there are more fish in the sea. Instead of trying to work things out in their current relationship, people who are not happy need to let it go. Moreover, before starting a new relationship a person have to get to know themselves better. Once a person know him or herself that person then know what charateristics they want in their mate. I think a person should evaluate many people first before they just go jumping into a serious relationship. Like sales, you have to shop around first before making a commitment. If people do this I think their would be more healthier relationships in society. Many people feel that going to counseling will help the relationship but, the reality is that both person's have to want to get counseling. Furthermore, when couples go to counseling, counselor's suggest many things to help the relationship including having to change your ways. So, if you are in a relationship, and you and your mate have been to counseling you have to make sure you follow the couselor's directions in making your relationship better. If in fact you have a guilty feeling inside or, you do not feel comfortable you need to be honest with your mate by letting them know how the way you feel. Communication is the key to a true relationship. That way you will not waste anyone's time. While that person is with you unhappy or you are unhappy it waste time for both parties. If you learn to let it go things will be better and most of time you end up being good friends in the end. So many people make bad decisions by having children, thinking that will solve the problem. That is not good because in the long run the children have to suffer from emotional distress because they have parents who are not married. Before you commit yourself to someone, you have to make sure this is the right person for you because if you don't you can affect other people like children which is not fair to children, they are innocent and they don't deserve it. To sum it up, making good decisions in life leads to a happy, healthy life for yourself.
