The Prime Minister of Thailand Thaksin Shinavatra was abroad when the Military overthrew him in a bloodless coup in 2006.

Upon hearing the news, Mr. Thaksin Shinavastra went into exile in Great Britain and promised to live a tranquil life.

The First of May in the year 2007 was the day the Ex Prime Minister of Thailand Thaksin Shinavatra placed himself in the lead for purchasing Manchester City. Manchester City responded by granting Mr. Thaksin Shinavatra access to their accounts.

It is time to take a look at Thaksin Shinavatra the person. Thaksin Shinavatra was the same person who attempted to buy Liverpool in the year 2004 while serving as Prime Minister of Thailand in what could have been construed as a conflict of interest.

Thaksin Shinavatra was born in Chiang Mai Thailand in 1949. In his early years, he studied at Montfort College while working as a manager of one of his father's cinema in his spare time. Thaksin Shinavatra went to the Police Academy, joined the Police Force and went to broaden his horizons in America where he obtained a Masters Degree in Criminal Justice at Eastern Kentucky University and A Doctorate in Criminal Justice at Sam Houston University in Texas. There were some comments about Thaksin Shinavatra working at Burger King during his time in America. [It was common for University Students to work at their spare time in order to pay for their studies].

Thaksin Shinavatra returned to Thailand, married, started a family and went into various businesses while in the Police Force. These businesses were Silk Shops, Movie Theatres, and Construction of Apartment Buildings and were failures.

In 1987, Thaksin Shinavatra left the police force in order to market a soap opera [which was a success] and go into the telecommunications business [which was considered a hung jury taking into account an equal success and failure]. Thaksin Shinavatra also concentrated his energy into politics which lead to accusations of conflict of interest accusations being levied against him.

In 1998, Thaksin Shinavatra founded the Thai Love Thai Party with the promise of Universal Health Care, Debt Cancellation for Farmers for up to three years, and funds to develop Thai Villages. It was discovered that he used ideas that were created from a fellow politician of the same political party. Regardless, these ideas propelled him into the Prime Minister's Position which he held from 2001 to 2006.
