In late sixties and early seventies,Biomedical practices was re-shaping in few developing countries of the world, Although still re-shaping to acceptable standards.
That Decade saw the scientists imagining, will the public accept the position of biomedical experience and integrate it to all Medical procedures, in other to provide a well and established proper Medical diagnostic and care.
The three areas of Medicine.
A. Preventive.
B. Diagnostic
C. Curative.
This will be looked at in this text, and the issues working against each and everyone of the three, will be discussed.
Firstly, looking at the early stage of entrance of biomedical studies and practice in these areas of medical practice, one will say that the public who constitute all the percentage of the patients in the health centers and Hospitals, need good education of the significant of Bio-medical procedures towards a good health care system.
At earlier stage, when a patient is sent to have his or her blood drawn for investigations , they tend to decline, some with excuses ranging from being afraid of needles, or allergic to drawing blood, etc., without knowing that blood and other body fluid investigations will help the Doctor have a Precise knowledge of the patients history and in some cases to the exact choice of preparations to effect the treatment or cure as the case may be.
For Instance, A case study of a 28 yr. old girl having reproductive circumstances like ltches, discharge and discomfort, were presented.
A high vaginal smear was done, and Gram Negative rods and spheres were present. including pus cells.
Further, culture & sensitivity was done and preparations like broad spectrum anti- biotic were sensitive to 4 plus. This is a done deal.
All the physician need to do is, examine the extent of damages done by the micro organism, and stipulate the dosage she need to clear her system.
This is really the modern way of practice and the most acceptable standard in use today,And made possible by integrating Bio-Medical procedures in the practice.
Secondly, the importance of Medical or Bio-Medical tests Will not be over emphasized.
Hence the procedure enhances good health and reduces the quest for proper health care procedure on time.
In Contrast, looking at the situations working against this procedure is also important.
My personal experience will come to play here .
