First of all, unless your man has psychopathic tendencies then cheating will make him feel guilty. As a result, he'll be nicer to you than he normally is. He will give you extra attention when he is with you. If your normally unromantic lover begins bringing you flowers, then perhaps he has another woman.

If your man suddenly begins working a lot of hours and staying late at the office, he might be cheating. Obviously it could just mean that he is working a lot of overtime at work. Be careful with this one.

If he begins talking about a woman he works with more than usual then this may be a sign of cheating. Another give away is secretive behavior. If his cell phone rings and he leaves the room to take the call, you might have cause to worry.

Another thing to watch out for is receiving a frosty reception from a certain attractive woman at your husband's office party. Any woman who is particularly unfriendly towards you might have her claws in your man.

A classic sign that you are being cheated on is the telephone suddenly going dead after you pick up. Of course it could just be telemarketers attempting to determine whether you are at home.

Standard signs of cheating are lipstick on his collar, the scent of another woman's perfume on his clothes or body, and strange phone numbers in his jacket pocket.

One way to determine for sure if your man is cheating on you is to question him directly. If he protests his innocence to aggressively, neglects to meet your eye or fidgets when he answers the chances are that he has another woman on the side. Of course, if you are mistaken and your man is not cheating on you then your questioning could cause unwarranted tension in the relationship.

Unfortunately the more experienced your man is at the game of cheating, the more he will endeavor to cover his tracks. Some men can cheat undetected and lie most convincingly. It is no wonder some women find it necessary to hire a private detective.

There is also a margin for error. What you take to be a sign of infidelity could be perfectly innocent. My feeling is that if your man really is cheating then you will know so instinctively, because your gut will alert you.
