Understanding natural numbers

Universal Numbers.

Numbers play a big part in our lives. We have a social security number; a bank account number; pin numbers; tag numbers; house numbers; box numbers. Our whole life is run by some sort of number.

Recently, while listening to one of my Bible tapes in the car I heard. "On June 7, 1967 after 2000 years Jerusalem is back in Jewish hands. This was the result of the Six Day War. Coincidence or providence? 06/07/67.

Was the horrendous attack on America by chance on September 11 = 9/11, a call for help? People are still amazed by these numbers. Was that date planned? Some say yes, others no.

Continuing my investigation on numbers, I realized I needed to visit the public library. A place where a world of wisdom awaits. I located a book called, "Theories of Everything," by John Barrow.

"Hmmm," I said to myself, "just what I'm looking for."

The sub-titled on this book was, "the Quest for Ultimate Explanation." I read the chapter called, "The Quantum Mystery of Time."

"Good place to start," I thought. "Numbers dealing with time."

On page 63 it stated, "The non-quantum cosmological models of general relativity may begin at a definite past moment of time defined using certain types of clock. The initial conditions, which dictate the whole future behavior of that universe, must be prescribed at that singularity. But, in quantum cosmology, the notion of time does not appear explicitly."

"Wow," I said to myself, "that was great! Wonder what it means?" Not willing to put this book away without giving it a fair chance I turned to the index.

"Maybe I can find something here on biblical numbers," I thought.

No such luck. But I did find something interesting on pages 33-34; "Numbers, Natural and Real." I was really on to some great mind enhancing explanation in this chapter! I read on.

The author states, "At first sight, this is a surprising result, since natural numbers are rather sparsely distributed whereas there seem to be rational fractions densely packed everywhere in-between them so a counting process ought to find many more fractions that integers."

"Well, I tried." Not sure what this paragraph said either, I decided to return this book to the library.

Numbers used in the Bible are regarded by Bible scholars as important. I've read a few books on this subject and every one seemed to tell me something different. I finally turned to the notes in my Dakes' Annotated Reference Bible.

Dakes states - "To say that
