Easy Taco Salad. Ready in 20 Minutes.
This taco salad recipe is very simple and easy to make.
Serves 8-10 people.
Ingredients:
(Any Brand) Large Round Tortilla Chips
4LBS Ground Beef
1 Whole Fresh Lettuce
2 Large Ripe Red Tomatoes
1 Pack Sharp Shredded Chedder Cheese
2 Pack of Taco Seasoning Mix
4 Cans of Sweet Whole Kernel Corn
1 Jar of Hot or Mild Salsa
Vegetable Preparations- Thoroughly wash the lettuce and tomatoes. Slice
the lettuces and place into a large salad bowl. Slice the tomatoes and
place in a small bowl. Store in the refrigerator with the cheese until needed.
First-Turn the stove to medium heat and place a large frying pan
on the stove. Open each pack of ground beef and crumble lightly
into the pan without overcrowding. Cover the beef and let it cook.
Stir occasionally. Let the beef continue to cook for at least ten
minutes or until there is no more pink color.
Second-After the meat is done, drain using a paper towel. And, replace
the beef in the frying pan. Place onto the stove over low heat. Be careful
and open the 2 packs of taco seasoning mix by tearing evenly across the top
because the packs will need to be filled with water. Now,shake the sauce
gently over the top of the beef. Stir slowly to blend the sauce into the meat.
Then, fill one of the empty sauce packs with water and pour over the beef one
time. Repeat this step once more. Now, stir the sauce and beef until it's well
blended and cover for about five minutes on low heat. After the beef is done,
turn off the heat and leave covered until ready to serve.
Third-Open the cans of corn and drain them. Pour the corn into a small pot and
add one half cup of water to the pot and cover. Heat the corn over medium heat for about
five minutes or until warmed. Or this can be done in the microwave for about
two minutes. This simply warms the corn and enhances the flavor of the salad.
Serving- Prepare to serve the salad by placing the large round shells on the the plate.
Add the lettuce and then scoop some beef on top of the lettuce. Next, put a few spoons of
corn over the beef and add a few sprinkles of cheese. Place a few tomatoes on either
the side of the salad. Finally, Drizzle the taco salsa on the top and you'll have a delicious taco salad.Enjoy!
