Nothing worse than a group of guys or girls sitting around having a pity party, talking about their stupid boyfriends/girlfriends or how life just isn't fair. "Misery loves company" defines our country, because we as people have a need to feel validated. In the scheme of things we almost need for some ones else to bring us down. It kind of makes us feel like we belong: an acceptance issue that a lot of us seem to have.

I bet all of you know that one person who would continuously tell their business to people who they know are not going to give them any good advice. It leaves you scratching your head wondering "why would you even tell that person anything". It's not because they prefer bad advice over good. It's because they need to have people who agree with their feelings. Most of the time we tell our friends what they want to hear just to protect their feelings or we compare their current situations to our own: especially involving relationships. Either way we aren't doing what's best for the person that is confiding in us.

We as people need to have stronger minds and stop relying on other people's point of views to determine our lives. It is okay to seek wisdom to help you out, but to rely sole on another person's opinions will not do you any good. If you are going to ask for opinions maybe you should seek people who've actually had some success, and leave the failures to be with their bitter selves. You have to make decisions based on common sense and not always do what your heart tells you to do. When you add your feelings to a problem a lot of times you're not going to make rational decision regarding your life.
Your peers aren't always going to understand your point of view and often times will make you feel like you're stupid. Truth be told it's best for you to be alone in your thoughts sometimes because if you share everything with everybody than somebody envious is going to emerge from that group of peers.

At the end of the day you have to accept the fact that you may be the only one who feels the way you feel about life. It is okay to be the odd ball if it's going to make life better for you. Deal with your friends in doses. Keep the negative ones at arms length, while you surround yourself with the positive ones. Look to God for your answers. "Keep your friends close and your enemies closer", just remain positive and everything will work itself out.
