Positivity is a choice of perspective, not a random result of uncontrollable events. Happy people cultivate personality traits that enable them to see a world filled with opportunity, in spite of a constant barrage of negative influences. Optimists refuse to believe that cynicism is synonymous with savvy, or that idealism equals a simplistic or naive world view. You can foster traits of positivity within yourself through specific actions.
Humility
In this self-centered age, it is rare to hear anybody consistently attribute his or her success to another person or a higher power. We are encouraged to glory in self-reliance.
