Being a person who has been cursed, for most of my life, with many different kinds of allergies, I can tell you that the best way to deal with your allergies to dust, molds and various plant pollens is to maintain a clean home environment all of the time.
Sure, you can buy various allergy medications that will help you function as a normal person when you are outside of your home. So too, you can wear a protective mask, in order to block those things from getting into your body as you breathe.
Then again, do you really want to wear a mask or take allergy medications on a regular basis? Well, you should at least be comfortable within your own home without having to dose yourself with medication that might or might not be harmful to your health as a result of the long term use of such products.
Some of you allergy sufferers might even have to move to another part of the Country, in order to escape from most of the airborne things that most hurt you. If you are allergic to dust, the only place that you can feel like a normal person is within your own home. You see, it's truly too bad for us that dust is everywhere within our environment.
The degree of your discomfort depends upon the severity of your condition. There are times during the year when I'd rather die, rather than suffer as I do during the Spring Season. That's the time when most of the plants spread their pollen, and that too is a cause for my concern.
Mold is another cause for my discomfort. In fact, there are some molds that can and do kill people. If you are living in a damp climate or a damp environment within your own home, you could be in big trouble. As a result, you should keep the humidity level within your home below 50%. Most molds cannot grow in a dry environment and anti-bacterial sprays can also be harmful to your health.
So now you see the problem that I have. So much so that I purchased an air cleaner that is good enough to remove most of the dust, most of the pollen and most of the mold from the air within my own home. So too, the dehumidifier that I purchased, a long time ago, keeps the humidity level in my home within safe limits.
The weekly removal of the airborne dust, pollen and mold that did settle on my furniture and floor allows me to be as comfortable as I can. As a matter of fact, in order to maintain your health, you should live within a healthy environment.
Having done so, I truly have one safe place to go, where I can be as happy, as comfortable and as healthy as I can be. It is true enough that a clean home is a healthy home, even if you are lucky enough not to be allergic to the things that can kill you.
