A place worse than hell

This is a huge and deep topic. Few people understand the meaning of the word "hell" never mind comprehending the interpretation of the "lake of fire" (Re 20:14-15)

Before reading this, it would be wise for those who really want an understanding of this topic to use their own copy of the Bible. When seeking understanding for any Bible scripture we should all be like the Beroeans:

"Immediately by night the brothers sent both Paul and Silas out to Beroea, and these, upon arriving, went into the synagogue of the Jews. 11 Now the latter were more noble-minded than those in Thessalonica, for they received the word with the greatest eagerness of mind, carefully examining the Scriptures daily as to whether these things were so." (Acts 17:11)

The English word "hell" is a derivative of the Greek word "Hades" or the Hebrew word "Sheol". In the Bible it refers to the place where all humans go - the common grave - gravedom.

The Lake of Fire refers to something quite different. Jesus does refer to it as Gehenna. (Matthew 10:28, Mark 9:45,47). Outside the Jerusalem of Jesus day, there was a huge garbage dump. Into this were thrown garbage, the carcasses of dead animals and the bodies of criminals considered unfit for burial. This place maintained a continuous fire fuels with sulphur. It was called Gehenna. When Jesus used this in his teaching, the people understood that he was speaking of a place of complete destruction.

In the Book of Revelation, Chapter 20, the angel speaks about the Lake of Fire.

14 And death and Hades were hurled into the lake of fire. This means the second death, the lake of fire. 15 Furthermore, whoever was not found written in the book of life was hurled into the lake of fire.

Before looking at this scripture consider Re: 20:10:

And the Devil who was misleading them was hurled into the lake of fire and sulphur, where both the wild beast and the false prophet [already were]; and they will be tormented day and night forever and ever.

Notice who first arrives at the lake of fire - the false prohphets and the wild beasts. Finally, Satan, the Devil who misleads those who have lived through the Millennial Reign of Christ, is cast into the lake of fire.

Now, there are Four that are found to be hurled into the Lake of Fire - the place of complete destruction.

However two others are recognized as also being thrown into the Lake of Fire - DEATH and HADES.

All together there are 6 entities that are to be thrown into the
