They say clothing makes the man; if that is true then fragrance makes the woman. When your partner leans over for a kiss the right perfume may keep him/her there longer. The key is finding a fragrance that expresses your personality and energy. There are four main perfume categories:

Floral: Floral fragrances tend to be the most feminine scents. They are often delicate and romantic. Lighter florals give an air of youthfulness and innocence. Bolder florals are stronger and more intoxicating. This family of fragrances are good for women who like dressing very feminine and hopeless romantics. Lighter florals are perfect for those who are more sensitive to fragrance or have partners that are.

Suggested Fragrances: For lighter florals Marc Jacobs Original Perfume which has a Gardenia base or his newer Daisy are good choices. For a stronger floral try Stella McCartney's signature scent which is Rose based. To split the difference between a light and a heavy floral are fragrances like Sarah Jessica Parker's Lovely. This fragrance has delicate ingredients such as lavender and orchid which are blended with stronger scents of amber and patchouli.

Citrus: Citrus notes are light and scream summer. These fragrances are perfect for beach girls and athletic girls. Some fragrances can loose their sweetness during the course of the day. Most citrus scents smell the same at 5:00PM as they did when first applied in the morning. A citrus combined with some floral notes can be a softer alternative.

Suggested Fragrances: Dolce and Gabbana Light Blue is a citrus that is combined with other fruity scents and jasmine. Calvin Klein's Euphoria is a more romantic citrus that has some floral notes. Another CK fragrance, Eternity is a more classic citrus and is sportier.

Woody: Woody fragrances are very natural. Light ones are subtle while stronger woodys are seductive. These are a perfect choice for women who are always on the go, no nonsense women, and women who like to keep things nice and simple.

Suggested Fragrances: Green Tea by Elizabeth Arden is a lighter woody scent. With nodes of peppermint and citrus to balance the musk, this is a great choice for someone who is always on the go because it is not overpowering.
