If you have a houseful of Thanksgiving guests, why not whip up a delicious waffle mix? Have the batter ready and the waffle iron hot, and your guests can make their own breakfast, while you prepare the turkey feast! Your home will soon be filled with the delicious autumn aroma.
cup canned pumpkin
3 eggs (beaten)
1 cup milk
2 Tbsp. margarine (melted)
1 cup flour (sifted)
2 tsp. baking powder
tsp. salt
2 Tbsp. sugar
1/8 tsp. nutmeg
In large bowl, mix pumpkin, eggs, milk, and margarine.
In smaller bowl, mix flour, baking powder, salt, sugar, and nutmeg.
Add dry ingredients to pumpkin mixture. Stir well.
Pour batter from cup or ladle onto hot, greased waffle iron.
Bake until steaming stops (about 5 minutes).
Serve with berries, syrup, jam, or whipped cream.
