Chapter One
She stood silently her icy fingers gripping a smaller elfin like boy beside her. Her large luminous silver eyes blinked at the strange sight. Light was surging behind her and around her, cascading a stream of colors on her pale blue face. Something was amiss in her land. The sound of screeching suddenly struck her like a sword against her chest. She suddenly found her body moving in a blur of motion. She scooped up her younger brother, covering his face with her arm and ran straight into the colors of death.
It had been several moons since El had seen her family she longed for. Her younger brother was all that remained of the remnant of her people. She herself was strained with hunger and fear, her small hands reaching into the madness of life. All she felt was cold. Coldness was seeping into her very being, stealing life from her lungs. She gasped as the colors poured down her face like tiny streams, wrapping themselves around her tiny, frail body. She let out a pitiful scream as the light pulled out what life she had left in her body. She collapsed in pain as her younger brother howled.
It was dark. Maybe she had finally passed from this life into the next. Maybe she was truly free from life's pain. But she felt a prick. Like a needle to her skin, it was moving up her arm and down her spine until she felt a fierce sensation to scream for mercy. Something was overpowering her now. They were all under the control of the Senses.
It had been years since she had remembered the taste of freedom. Her family had always lived here in peace. Her brothers, her sisters, her family was full of life. The prickling sensation suddenly stopped. She heard a voice. Like the sound of the wind whipping through the dark mellow trees in the night. The voices were bickering back and forth until a hush befell them. She felt like the darkness would never end. Where was Pen her younger brother? She felt a pain in her heart knowing he was now captive to the will of the Senses.

"Is she dead?" Prillo poked the toe of the small elfin girl, his eyes wide with wonder. His younger brother Jesi was poking the elfin girl as if she was a jelly fish on the beach.
"Stop Jesi, she's just sleeping. Leave her be. Besides she looks half dead already." The red mop of hair bobbed up and down as Jesi put his stick away.
"Can I keep it Prillo? It's awful
