A life spent rotting my teeth and expanding my waistline makes me perfectly qualified to list my top ten sweets all of which contain chocolate and you can rest assured that the vile Hershey chocolate will not be making an appearance. I'm convinced that if America had a decent brand of chocolate then they would be less likely to feel they have to police the rest of the world but that debate is for another day.
These are in no particular order other than the first one which is probably my favourite although that choice was a tough one. Unless stated to the contrary my preferred method of eating is to freeze the chocolate first and then eat it straight from the freezer in the comfort of my own home or someone else's if I'm doing a bit of house breaking.
1. Minstrels I do love these and find them incredibly addictive, milk chocolate wrapped in a crisp shell they are a delight to eat. These are good straight out of the freezer as there is a lovely feeling as they slowly melt in your mouth and there is quite an art to ensuring that the shell does not crack whilst in your mouth until it has melted away. They are also good for just chomping on with a nice crisp texture and the chocolate has a solid substantial feel to it. Finally it you cannot freeze them they make an excellent accompaniment to a bag of Walkers Ready Salted crisps as the contrast between the two flavours is lovely and it is a vegetarian meal in its self combining potato with beans (cocoa).
2. Cadbury Diary Milk is the chocolate most Brits are raised on and as such has a special place in my heart, of the three main milk chocolate brands this one beats Galaxy and Nestle hands down for taste and texture and despite the rise of some so called luxury brands on the supermarket shelves is still the one I go for.
3. Maltesers are probably the most moorish of all the chocolates that I like, I have to be very careful with these otherwise I will polish off a whole family pack in one sitting usually while I'm robbing their house. That crunchy biscuit centre is divine and again eaten straight from the freezer you can alternate between having a good crunch and letting the chocolate slowly melt off in your mouth.
4. Yorkie is a surprise inclusion as it is made by Nestle who tend to make a slightly inferior chocolate in my opinion as it is more crumbly and dry to the taste however the raisin and biscuit Yorkie is a firm favourite of mine as I love the combination with the chocolate and as it contains
