Pleasing a woman is a very simple task. So simple, in fact, that I can give you five quick pieces of advice that will change your lady from displeased to enthralled, every single time.

1. Treat her like an equal, but also like your most prized possession.
Let's make one thing clear. A woman is not really an object to be owned and possessed. But to cherish a woman like she is the singularly most valuable, irreplaceable piece of your life-that's what a woman craves. Protect her, but don't control her. Be courteous, but not condescending. Open her door or get rid of that nasty spider because you want to, not because you think she's too ditzy or weak to do it herself. Chivalry is not dead, but chauvinism should be.

2. Do your part.
Whether this means folding the socks while she folds the towels, taking a turn at scrubbing the bathtub, or deciding where you're going for dinner, pitching in will let her know that you care about what she does and appreciate it. Take the trash out before she has to remind you. Ask her out to a specific restaurant, rather than saying, "Let's go out for dinner. You decide." Sure, it's nice to be asked what we want, but we also like for our partner to pony up an idea or two.

3. Respect her intelligence.
You know your gal is a clever little thing. She knows she's a clever little thing. But when is the last time you've shown appreciation for her intelligence? Asking her opinion on a problem you're wrestling with, or even just talking about the news of the day, lets her know that you value her viewpoint. Having trouble balancing your checkbook? Ask her to take a look at it. Wanting to buy a new car stereo? Go ahead and ask her what she thinks. You may be surprised to discover that she has a wealth of technological expertise!

4. Enjoy sex with her, not just on her.
No, you dirty-minded perverts, I don't mean that in a lewd way. I just mean to enjoy the give AND take of sex. Don't just jump on top of her and do your thing, without a care to her feelings. Not every sexual encounter has to be romance and candlelight, but it does have to be mutually desired and satisfying. Find out her fantasies, and surprise her by fulfilling them unexpectedly. Respect her boundaries. No matter what men's magazines may tell you, not all women enjoy the same things sexually. If she sincerely does not like something, don't try to force her into trying it again. See to her pleasure just as fervently as you see to your own.

5. Remember: Love is more than a bedroom word.
Nothing makes the backs of a woman's knees sweat quite like an unexpected kiss in an unexpected environment. She's sitting at the table, writing a letter? Come up behind her and place a nibbling little kiss on her ear. At the stove? Wrap her in a huge hug and tell her it smells great (and let's not forget rule #2! Ask her if you can help with dinner!) Just as sex does not always have to equal romance, romance does not always have to lead to sex. A little cuddle and a stolen kiss will make your woman feel as loved as the most cherished princess.

So there you have it. Respect her, trust her, appreciate her, lust after her, and give her a little tenderness. You do these, and you may find that you discover an entirely new and wonderful level in your relationship.
