Getting married on a budget is not as difficult as it sounds, as long as you are prepared to be creative. All weddings take time to prepare and surprisingly a budget wedding doesn't have to take any longer than a wedding with unlimited finance to produce.

A good place to begin is to decide what you want the feel of the wedding to be. Are you going to be traditional or have a themed wedding? Once you have decided this you can decide where you want the wedding to take place.

You may already know someone with a great field who is willing to let you set a marquee up in it without charging you. Even if you don't marry there you can all go there afterward to enjoy a large picnic where each of the guests brings a food dish and bottle of wine. If the weather is great you may even get away without hiring the marquee!

If the celebrations take place at the home of a family member or friend it will be easy to gather helpers together from people you already know to help with the catering. This really creates an atmosphere of pulling together and will make your wedding memorable for those who become more involved.

When it comes to flowers specialized florists can be expensive, so have a look and see if you know anyone who grows flowers themselves. If not, ladies who arrange flowers for the local church often have great sources of getting flowers on a budget and will be more than willing to help.

Wedding invitations can be handmade either using items from a craft shop or by printing out a non-copyright picture that you really like from the Internet and using it for the front of your card. Beautiful lettering is also available for free in this way and can add a touch of elegance to your invitations.

Favors for the guests are for your guests to remember your special day, not really gifts as such. Instead of buying something expensive try to think of a favor which is particularly relevant to the way your wedding will be carried out.
