I really don't dislike my brother's girlfriend, I just don't agree on a lot of things about her or what she has done in the past since he and she were together. I can talk on the phone with her for hours or she comes over and visits with me. It's a step in both of our courts, since now she has become his wife. I am trying to, for the sake of my brother to at least make her feel welcomed into the family, even though deep down I grit my teeth, sometimes even literally biting my tongue. I still believe to this day that they are just plain bad for each other, and nothing can ever become of it for their future together. Their marriage is a black cloud just lingering. But I don't say anything, except when I can't hold it in any longer and my mother and I talk about my brother and his new wife. Currently, my brother is in prison over drug charges. When he was incarcerated in the county jail, later to be transferred to the state jail, she pushed for marriage and arranged everything, even had her mother pay for it all. Because she didn't have a job, neither did my brother. Not too long ago, upon her visit with him on weekend, after the fact, he later relayed his feelings to her about how he and she should had waited til he had gotten out. She was terribly hurt by this, but he reassured her that he still loved her and not to take what he said to heart, he still wanted to be married to her. Still, I believe he was having misgivings on the idea of being married her. Everyone, who knows her, doesn't like her, and believes she is an opportunist. Even though my brother is penniless and pretty much everyone on my father's side of the family are working the same as my mother is,us three children stand to inherit a large sum of money upon her death. That is, if she doesn't sell her already bought and paid for lake home. And because of this, that is why everyone believes she is an opportunist. She has gone through my mother's things when my mother hasn't been home and my brother and she were living with my mother. She has copied all the family's phone numbers and addresses down in her address book, even though she had never met them. When my mother had asked her not to go down the outside stairs to the tower bedroom with her bulky clopping shoes that the heels were considerably three inches in heighth, she had done it anyway and injured herself on the wet steps that weren't water treated. She almost lost her child that she was carrying at that time.

Later it was discovered through my mother's home owner's insurance that she had consulted with a lawyer in order to sue my mother. Fortunately, the courts won't follow on a suit if the plaintiff is a resident living in the home. Especially if they hadn't even been paying any rent monies to begin with. My mother and myself believe that my brother and she are not actually living in reality about a lot things and issues. And it has taken almost six years now to make my mother really realize that my brother will never actually change and that she has to stop helping him and stop helping all the girlfriends he just so happens to drag in on her, to live off of her. You can only take so much from family members and I definitly think that my brother's wife has over stepped her bounds just as much as my brother had in the past. When my brother gets out of prison, my mother and I feel that this is not the end of the story by no means.
