How to become a spiritual warrior

A worthwhile goal in your life is to be able to become, or to achieve something in your life. Some of us I am sure would identify with this articles title, and would like to know how to become a spiritual warrior.

My first question would be why? Why would you want to become a warrior, a foot soldier for God? A fighter of any sort? Does God himself ever fight with anyone, including himself? I don't think so, God can only ever be on one side, and this is the only side there is, the side of love. Anything that is divided and fighting itself, never lasts, and God has lasted for an infinite time.

What then, is a spiritual warrior? What, and who are we fighting, or being warriors for? Why is any defending, or fighting required at all? What has love got to do with being a spiritual warrior? Why do we need protection, or shielding, and to carry any weapons of warriorship at all? Why isn't everything perfectly peaceful, all of the time? The need for warriors seems to imply there is something to be defended, or fought for. Have we lost something? Do we need to fight to get something back, or to prevent us from losing more? How is this possible? Is God's world really perfect, or not?

Warriors are really in truth only worriers. They worry about how things are, and how they want them to be, and they want to change things. All unnecessary change, is fighting what is. No change is ever necessary within perfection. Perfect love is perfect, and never needs changing, only just experiencing.

What is being a worrier? A worrier is someone that allows themselves to think that their life is not complete. And what is a warrior? Someone that fights their life, and life in general.

What is a spiritual warrior? A spiritual warrior, is a fighter for himself. He is at all times following his, or her real self with courage, and from love, his heart of love. A warrior never fights anyone else, except for fighting his own karma, and his karmic reactions to it, and so these reactions are only his ego responses, and his past conditioning experiences trying to influence him all unduly.

The true warrior allows for himself to fight back, by not fighting, but by loving. When love is felt by the ego, the ego melts away, and follows soul. When fear is melted away by love, there is no need to defend it anymore from your ego. There is the warrior in you defending your position or ego, and there is the spiritual warrior in you, that is never defending, but always only courageously
