"A Lonely Man"
All day long
He circles the parking lots
Picking up anything he can find
Anything sellable
His headphones are connected
Only to the air
But he sings along anyway
He stuck his tongue out at me one day
I glared
A lonely man,
I cast my line,
Into a tumultuous sea,
I brave the ocean spray,
And hope to find,
Another part to me.
THE BALLAD OF THE OLD MAN
“Hey kids, get off my lawn.”
The little old man said
“Kids, they have no respect,
I want to go to my bed.”
Still the kids snuck back on
All they wanted was to know
What it was
A Lonely Man.
She said "You'll die,
a lonely man;
bitter, sad
and insecure."
She said,
"You were not
the only man to
ever come
to her for all
the answers."
You took your
chances;
and now, you refuse ~

"A Lonely Man"
A lonely man, he rolls from bed
Another day I’m sure he’ll dread
She’s still asleep. He’ll let her stay
She wouldn’t kiss him anyway
A lonely man, he showers and shaves
Just when
by Kathy Myers
Her soft brown strands
swirl around her bare neck
as her warm sultry breath
meanders down my chest
I watch as the clock
steals away our time
dreading the inevitable
wishing for the impossible.
She breathes a long sigh
that lingers

i am all there is to see
there is nothing more to me
what you see is what you get
all of me is open wide
for all to see
for all to dissect
a man who is alone in a crowd
