The Top Restaurants In Downtown Brooklyn

I have lived in Brooklyn all my life,and I have been to many of the restaurants in the Downtown Brooklyn area. From my experiences I can say that my favorite restaurants located in Downtown Brooklyn are Dallas BBQ,Junior's,Monty's and Grand Canyon.

Dallas BBQ is a restaurant chain located throughout New York City, but has a location on Livingston Street in the Downtown Brooklyn area. This restaurant specializes in Texas style barbecued food,and is known for their juicy, flavorful barbecued babyback ribs.I would highly recommend these ribs,which come in either full slab or half a slab. I would also recommend their Honey Roasted Chicken, or a combo of both the ribs and honey roasted chicken. Dallas BBQ's also offers seafood options such as shrimp, and fish.For side dishes Dallas BBQ's gives customers the choice of Hand Cut French Fries,A Baked Potato or Yellow Rice. As an appetizer I would recommend their buttermilk soaked, Southern Fried Chicken Fingers,Texas Fried Chicken Wings, Sticky Wings,or one of their many soups such as their Black Bean Soup. To get into Dallas BBQ's there is usually a long wait period,mainly because of the area that it is located in,especially on Sundays, since it is located in back of a church,and many families go there to eat after Sunday church service.The price range is moderate and meals run from about $15- $25, and the staff is friendly.

Junior's is a restaurant located on Dekalb Avenue in Downtown Brooklyn,and is known for their many different varieties of cheesecake. However even though Junior's is known mostly for their cheesecake, they also serve traditional meals,such as burgers and sandwiches such as their famous corned beef sandwich.Each burger comes with thick crispy steak fries, and onions on the side.To get into Junior's there is usually not a long wait period, and the staff is okay.

Monty's is a pizzeria located on Montague Street in Downtown Brooklyn. I must say that the pizza at Monty's is some of the best pizza that I have tasted in New York. However the price for a slice of pizza at Monty's is a little high,in terms of one slice of pizza costing about $3.50, but the price is worth it. The staff here are also friendly.

The Grand Canyon restaurant is another burger restaurant,in Downtown Brooklyn which is also located on Montague Street. I would highly recommend their burgers which are big,thick, and juicy and have a nice flame-broiled taste. also they have this tasty barbecue sauce that compliments, their burgers and chicken very nicely. The price range for meals here is moderate,with meals costing less than $20.

Other restaurants in the Downtown Brooklyn area are IHOP, and Applebees.
