Hotel horror stories

Here's a little story that might keep you awake at night! Well, maybe it won't keep you awake the whole night, but I'm sure it will make you think twice next time you book a hotel. It certainly opened my eyes to the reality that hotel horrors do exist! Therefore, without further ado, I will try not to bug you (pun intended) and get right to the point!

Before our cruise to Bermuda last year, I made plans for my husband and me to spend a few days in NYC before the cruise. We just love Manhattan as a getaway destination, and have always enjoyed wonderful times there in the past, so we agreed it would be a perfect start to our vacation with fine dining, theater, long walks, Central Park, and whatever else we could fit in.

I had arranged for a car to pick us up at JFK, and it was a smooth and comfortable jaunt into Manhattan. We arrived at the 4-star hotel (the name shall remain anonymous, but it was in the popular Theater District near 8th and Broadway, with a fine reputation).

We crawled into a rather soggy double bed (mattress not as firm as we like) but made the most of it and watched some television before retiring. We turned out the lights on the nightstands. The next thing I knew I was dozing off and felt my husband's fingers brushing my arm. I knew it would keep me awake, so I gently reached to move his hand. I could see that his body position was turned away from me, and the brushing I felt was NOT
